• A Fundraising Youth Disco was held at Pope John Paul II Hall raising £345
   
• Barn Dance – Steve Marshall is having a barn dance in Pope John Paul Hall on Sunday 6th November from 1pm to 5.30pm to celebrate his 50th birthday. Steve is asking all and sundry to come and bring friends and family, a bottle or two, something delicious to eat for sharing, dancing shoes (dancing to Metric Foot), and lots of loose change! There is no charge for attending this prestigious event but he will be going round with a big bucket to collect money for HCPT.
   
• THE CLERGY REVUE. A night of family fun – NOT TO BE MISSED! 7:30 p.m. on Friday 11th November at the Towngate Theatre, Basildon. Tickets: Adults £8 Concessions/Child £5 available from local parishes or from 07707011251 or by email pp@olor.org.uk.
  This show, last seen at the Cliff’s Pavilion, 1990, and the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, 1994, will include appearances by Mgr John Armitage and Fr’s Martin Buckley. Philip Denton, Andy Dorricott, John Glynn, Martin Joyce, Paul Keane, Jean-Laurent Marie, Dan Mason, Tom Saunders, Joe Silver, Julien Weiner, plus others. The compere will be Peter Holmes, formerly of Breeze FM.
